Sognalag is one of 8 lags under the umbrella organization of âVestlandslaget.â The 8 lags are Sogn, Hardanger, Nordfordland, Sunnfjord, Rogaland, Sunnhordland, Voss, and Møre og Romsdal.

With your membership, you will receive 4 issues of theVestlandet newsletter per year. We also encourage members to contribute articles to the newsletter. In addition, if you are interested in genealogy or ancestral farms in Norway, the lag will help you search for information, or if you have the genealogy âbugâ yourself, you may use the resources we own (see Genealogy page.) You are also welcome to join us for our annual meeting or âstevneâ every summer. There you will meet other Sognings, attend programs, research genealogy, and shop at the vendor booths specializing in Norwegian products and gifts.
